FRAZIES-rAnDoM

Did you know it cost's more to climb Mount Everest than to get a really nice sports car? Well it does and I would have never thought that it would really cost that much other than the ticket to Nepal to climb the highest peak on Earth. It cost's so much because you would have to pay for insurance, tents, oxygen, waste removal fees and several other things also. You might have always heard of those people climbing Mount Everest by them selves and thought to your self that they are crazy; well they sure do have courage. Also it will cost up one hundred thousand dollars to climb the mountain solo or around thirty-five thousand dollars if you’re in a group of five people or so. Temperatures get to the extreme as someone climbs the mountain, losing oxygen as you go up higher. Layers of clothes are the key to keeping warm in these conditions. And if you don't have enough oxygen on you then you may have to go back down the peak or if a person would have too much oxygen going through the oxygen mask then it may cause you to faint. Even with all the safety equipment someone may carry with them on the way to the top of this peak, the pressure may be too much towards the top and you could suffer internal bleeding through your head to your brain. So as you can see from what I am telling you, if you like dancing with death this would be one of those things to do, but I would not suggest it to an average person
A woman from Waynesburg, PN has done one of the oddest things I have ever heard. She did not have any teeth at all and could not get dentures through welfare so first she steals a jacket from a witness of the robbery, which she later gives back because the zipper is broken, she robs a bank for money for dentures. Who in the world would do that? That is just weird. Lol Who would want to go to prison over a pair of chompers, and yes I just said chompers. LoL
Nepalese man seventy two years old: Dangi lives in a remote mountain village, Rhimkholi, about 250 miles (400 kilometers) west of Katmandu, with his youngest brother and his family. Because of his height, he has never worked outside the house, doing only household chores. Mohammed, who died in 1997, was 22.5 inches (57 centimeters) tall. Since Dangi's village is so remote, it was only recently that Dangi gained notice. This man is shorter than two feet tall; you could find a lot of little kids in kindergarten that would be taller than him. I wonder what made this man so short. I would imagine it’s some sort of genetic disorder or disease he was born with. I could not ever imagine living his life, never leaving your home; I would decently get some cabin fever.

FRAZIES-valentines day and more

A lot of people may dislike Valentines Day and that is sometimes understandable depending on what it is. And there are those other people who love Valentines Day all together. I am not too crazy about today but it does make me happy being able to make someone close to me very happy on this day. Although I always try to make her happy not just on one day of the year either. So I think Valentines Day can be a good day to celebrate but it can also be bad if some people abuse this day. Some people may not show how they really feel or treat someone close to them very nice except on this day which I feel is wrong. When you really are close to someone you should always try to treat them nicely or if it’s a girlfriend or boyfriend I feel people should always show kindness. And sometimes a gift or two here and there. No matter what I say on here there will always be those people who abuse holidays like Valentines Day.
Here is a brief description I have looked up on the origin of Valentine's Day. Lupercalia survived the initial rise of Christianity and but was outlawed—as it was deemed “un-Christian”--at the end of the 5th century, when Pope Gelasius declared February 14 St. Valentine's Day. It was not until much later, however, that the day became definitively associated with love. During the middle Ages, it was commonly believed in France and England that February 14 was the beginning of birds' mating season, which added to the idea that the middle of Valentine's Day should be a day for romance.

Valentine greetings were popular as far back as the Middle Ages, though written Valentine's didn't begin to appear until after 1400. The oldest known valentine still in existence today was a poem written in 1415 by Charles, Duke of Orleans, to his wife while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London following his capture at the Battle of Agincourt. (The greeting is now part of the manuscript collection of the British Library in London, England.) Several years later, it is believed that King Henry V hired a writer named John Lydgate to compose a valentine note to Catherine of Valois. (Valentine’s Day: a day of romance, History Channel, 2-2012)

So as you can see Valentine’s Day was not always around but has been for centuries. As for cupid, he is a symbol of love and determination, Valentine’s Day. He is of course not real, if he was that would be a little scary to me. Having a little man flying around shooting arrows at people to make them fall in love. So be careful what you wish for or who you really want because it may just become true, you never know what could happen. Overall I think Valentine’s Day is an okay holiday, I don’t think it should be a holiday. I think it should be a feeling of Valentine, that people share and feel everyday.

FRAZIES-animals

Animals are one of the best gifts of our world. They are sometimes really odd and unique in their own little way and sometimes very deadly to. I’m here to talk about some of the most unique animals there are out there today. Some are very deadly and some wouldn’t hurt a fly but the only reason why most animals are dangerous is because it’s their nature when they feel threatened. Today I am going to talk about just a few really amazing animals there are out there in the world.
First, I am going to talk about the box jellyfish. Also known as the wasp jellyfish, this salad-bowl sized jellyfish can have up to 60 tentacles as long as 15 feet. Each tentacle has enough toxins to kill 50 humans. They are found in Australia, the Philippines, and many other tropical areas. Since 1884 at least 5,567 deaths have been attributed to these creatures. This puts it as one of the most deadly animals in the world; I think it is absolutely crazy that one of its tentacles can kill up to fifty human beings. Though most people will not ever see this animal up close to get stung because it lives in the deep ocean. Why are jellyfish like a clear-ish color? I wonder that myself well jellyfish are ninety-five percent water and that’s why they have a transparent look to them. Although some jellyfish are dangerous they only live up to one year and therefore they must reproduce very quickly. Due to malaria carrying parasites transferred by the mosquito, it is responsible for the deaths of more than two million people per year. In addition, Mosquitos are estimated to transfer diseases to more than 70 million people per year. Even in countries such as the UK, New Zealand, and Japan, where the more temperate climate has reduced mosquito bites to mostly an annoyance, they still cause some deaths every year. I know this may be hard to believe but the mosquito is by long one of the deadliest living things on Earth because the fact they carry diseases and there so many of them. As for the mosquito it is very very annoying most people would agree lol. This shark is an exceptionally large shark found in coastal waters in all major oceans. It can reach lengths of up to 6 metres and can weigh up to 5 tons. The Great White Shark is the worlds largest known predatory fish. It is the only surviving species of its genus. In general these creatures do not attack humans, and (while there have been some fatalities) the majority of attacks on humans are believed to be test bites – the Great White Shark are known to test bite other objects in order to determine what they are. More people are killed each year in the US by dogs than Great White Sharks in the last 100 years. Most people fear the great white shark but it almost never even kills anyone unless it has a real urge to.

FRAZIES-photography

Photography in its own way is really interesting. Personally I like the pictures, like the really cool ones. I am not too interested in the technical things about the cameras just like looking at the pictures they capture and I am sure most people are that way in this post I am going to show you some of the coolest and best camera pictures of our time. So I really hope you enjoy them. The first picture I have I think shows a good view of the city during a nice sunny summer day; it’s just a random city to. I am also curious how some people got the pictures like the ones where it’s up in the sky, which must have been hard to actually get that picture. Anyway the second picture shown in the video shows some lightning from here in the United States. It shows just how beautiful nature can be but also how it can be very deadly. I wonder how lightning gets that pinkish color, it’s rare for lightning to be that color unless it’s a super bad storm where all the clouds are pitch black and everything. The third photo is actually from Peoria, IL from this February, it’s a photo of some amazing looking lightning, and it looks like a halo in the middle which kind of odd. I just thought it was pretty cool that here in Illinois we can have some pretty cool looking lightning also. Because we usually don’t have crazy lightning around here, not like certain other places in the world. The forth picture is of a colorful sunset and some trees in the winter time. This post is more visual than anything, what I would do is watch my video then read this so you know what the pictures look like that I’m talking about. Next picture is of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California which it really looks golden in this golden and kind of a red color in this picture. It is because of the sunset though, which reflects onto it making it that certain unique color. I also added a lot more photos for your enjoyment to look at, more than I could ever write about though. Hope you like this blog, till next week on my next blog.

FRAZIES-amazing people in the world

This post of mine today is about amazing and well not so amazing medical conditions people have developed or have had since they were born. These people have gone through so many tests and have been examined for years; they have been almost named real life super humans because of their capabilities. Then there are the other kind of people that you feel sorry for and you as a normal person may wonder why and how this or that could have happened to a person. Here are some people that I am going to introduce you to and maybe just maybe you won’t laugh but be amazed how they could get through everyday life like this.
His name is Wim Hof he is forty nine years old, he lives in the Netherlands. His certain condition is the extreme resistance to the cold. For example, in 1999 he ran a half a marathon which was around the Arctic Circle near the North Pole. Wim ran this distance in his bare feet only in shorts. He also scaled Mount Everest in a pair of black shorts, the average temperature for the Arctic Circle during the day is about 13 degrees Fahrenheit and the temperature for Mount Everest is 31 degrees Fahrenheit near the bottom. So as you can see he must be a special man to do this as for a normal person doing this would mean hypothermia and eventually death. They have called Wim “The Ice Man,” I myself am stunned by his capabilities. This would be crazy to be able to withstand these temperatures almost in all bare skinned. People like him make the world interesting in its own little way. The next person I will be talking about to you has a condition called hyperthymesic syndrome, which essentially means “hyper memory.” 52 year old Brad Williams from Wisconsin will never forget anything in his life, and I mean never. Once something has reached his eyes there is no forgetting for him. You know when you’re a kid in school and you always wished you had a photographic memory and remembered everything so you wouldn’t have to study. Well that’s exactly what Brad has; he is like a human Google in a way. And Brad has not always had this capability earlier this year he just recalled having an enormous amount of memory stored up. I think it is amazing what Brad Williams has, if he had this condition earlier in life who knows what he could have accomplished with it. He could have never failed a test, passed college like a breeze and worked just about anywhere if he could control his memories well. Because he may have the ability to remember everything and anything but sifting through all those memories in his head may take a few minutes to recall.
Ladies and gentlemen I have one last thing to say to you all there is even a syndrome where a person has a foreign accent, like there born with it somehow. I don’t know I just thought that was really interesting. Having American parents, growing up in the United States but always having a British or Asian accent for no reason at all and not being able to overcome that accent very well through out your life, now that would suck. All of these conditions I have explained to you all in some detail are all very unique in there own way but there people just like you and me that have gotten these things and yet . . . no explanation for it, no reasoning.
